No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to us all. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. - 1 Corinthians 10:13  (NIV) 1. The historical significance of 1 Corinthians 10:13 lies in the context of the Apostle Paul's letter to the Corinthian church. In this verse, Paul addresses the struggles and temptations faced by the early Christian community in Corinth. He reminds them of the faithfulness of God and His promise to provide a way out of temptation so that they may endure it. 2.
